Product Overview – Brass Elbows

Brass Elbows are angle pipe fittings used to change the direction of flow in piping systems, commonly at 90° and 45° angles. Manufactured from high-quality Brass, Red Brass, and Gunmetal alloys, these fittings deliver excellent resistance to corrosion, pressure, temperature variation, and mechanical stress.

Our brass elbows are manufactured by forging or casting followed by precision CNC machining and threading, ensuring dimensional accuracy, consistent thread quality, and long service life. They are suitable for water, air, gas, fuel, oil, and industrial fluids across residential, commercial, and heavy-duty industrial applications.

Product Variants

Brass Elbows

Standard brass elbows for general plumbing and industrial use. These fittings provide reliable performance in medium-pressure systems and are widely used due to their excellent machinability and corrosion resistance.

Common configurations:

  • 90° Brass Elbow

  • 45° Brass Elbow

Brass Threaded Elbows

Brass Threaded Elbows are designed with precision internal or external threads for leak-proof connections. These are ideal for systems requiring easy installation, maintenance, or replacement.

Thread combinations available:

  • Female × Female

  • Male × Female

  • Male × Male

Brass Forged Elbows

Brass Forged Elbows are produced through hot forging, resulting in a compact grain structure and superior mechanical strength compared to cast fittings. These are preferred for high-pressure, vibration-prone, and safety-critical applications.

Advantages of forged elbows:

  • Higher pressure rating

  • Improved fatigue life

  • Uniform metallurgical structure

Brass NPT Elbows

Brass NPT Elbows are manufactured as per ANSI / ASME B1.20.1 standards and are primarily used in the USA, Canada, and North America. The tapered NPT thread provides self-sealing performance under pressure.

Brass BSP Elbows

Brass BSP Elbows conform to BS 21 / ISO 228 / ISO 7-1 standards and are commonly supplied to Europe, UK, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Thread options:

  • BSPP (Parallel)

  • BSPT (Tapered)

Red Brass / Gunmetal Elbows

Red Brass (Gunmetal) Elbows are copper-rich alloys containing tin and zinc, offering superior resistance to dezincification, seawater corrosion, steam, and high temperatures.

These elbows are widely used in marine, valves, pumps, firefighting, and heavy industrial systems.

Manufacturing Process

Forging / Casting

Depending on application and alloy, elbows are produced using:

  • Hot Forging – for brass elbows requiring higher pressure capability

  • Sand Casting / Shell Molding – for red brass and gunmetal elbows with complex geometries

Machining & Threading

Post-forming operations include:

  • CNC turning and facing

  • Precision thread cutting (NPT / BSP / SAE / Metric)

  • Deburring, cleaning, and surface finishing

  • In-process and final inspection

This ensures consistent thread fitment and interchangeability.
